How can Balanced Proteins
Fit Into Your Business
-
Cost Savings and Profit Margins
Why: Incorporating plant-based ingredients into meat products can reduce production costs since plant-based components are often less expensive than animal protein.
Benefit: By lowering the overall cost per unit, any manufacturer aligned with our mission to advance Balanced Proteins can maintain competitive pricing while preserving—or even increasing—profit margins.
Risk Mitigation and Portfolio Diversification
Why: Diversifying product and supply lines reduces reliance on single sources, which are vulnerable to fluctuating meat prices, disease outbreaks, and trade disruptions.
Benefit: A Balanced Protein line offers a hedge against these risks by creating a more versatile and resilient product portfolio.
Competitive Differentiation
Why: The food industry is highly competitive, and offering an innovative product line can differentiate a manufacturer in the crowded protein market.
Benefit: A Balanced Protein line positions the manufacturer as a forward-thinking, adaptable brand that caters to modern consumer preferences, helping to attract new customers and retain existing ones.
Market Demand for Healthier Options
Why: Consumers are increasingly seeking healthier and more sustainable food options, with a preference for products that offer improved nutrition without sacrificing taste.
Benefit: Balanced Proteins allow manufacturers to tap into this trend by delivering products with reduced fat and cholesterol while maintaining the flavor profile of traditional meat.
Sustainability Goals and ESG Compliance
Why: Balanced Proteins align with sustainability goals by reducing reliance on resource-intensive ingredients.
Benefit: This move helps manufacturers meet Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) criteria, satisfy retailer sustainability mandates, and appeal to environmentally-conscious consumers.
-
Lower Production Costs
Why: 100% plant-based products often rely on expensive ingredients and processes to mimic meat.
Benefit: Using less R&D-derived ingredients and incorporating animal meat can lower production costs, enabling competitive pricing without sacrificing quality for any manufacturer aligned with our mission to advance Balanced Proteins.
Improved Taste and Texture
Why: Many consumers perceive plant-based meat as less flavorful or satisfying than conventional meat.
Benefit: By combining animal and plant ingredients, alternative meat companies can leverage the taste and texture advantages of real meat while maintaining a sustainability narrative.
Expanding Consumer Base
Why: Plant-based meats face resistance from some consumers due to taste, texture, or perceived "unnaturalness."
Benefit: Balanced Proteins offer a middle ground, attracting flexitarians and traditional meat-eaters who aren't ready to commit to fully plant-based products.
Strengthened Sustainability Proposition
Why: Sustainability is a core selling point for alternative meat companies, but the overall impact is a factor of adoption.
Benefit: Balanced Proteins have the potential to be even more impactful than other options if it leads to broader consumer adoption.
Risk Mitigation and Diversification
Why: The fully plant-based market is highly competitive and subject to market saturation and evolving consumer trends.
Benefit: Balanced Proteins diversify product offerings, reducing reliance on 100% plant-based products and opening doors to partnerships with traditional meat companies.
-
Meet Corporate Sustainability Goals
Why: Industrial food service providers often have ambitious Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) goals to reduce their carbon footprint.
Benefit: Balanced Proteins reduce emissions compared to 100% animal-based products, helping meet these targets without disrupting menus or guest satisfaction.
Maintain Guest Satisfaction
Why: Cafeteria clients (e.g., universities, hospitals) need to cater to a wide range of dietary needs and preferences.
Benefit: Balanced Proteins offer a versatile option that appeals to both meat-lovers and flexitarians.
Cost-Effectiveness
Why: Food service providers need to balance quality and affordability, especially for large-scale operations.
Benefit: Using plant-based ingredients reduces overall costs compared to 100% animal-based options for any operator aligned with our mission of advancing Balanced Proteins.
Brand Differentiation and Leadership
Why: Customers value innovation and expect industry leaders to offer progressive food choices.
Benefit: Offering Balanced Proteins positions industrial food service providers as forward-thinking and consumer-focused.
Ease of Integration
Why: Industrial providers need solutions that fit seamlessly into existing supply chains and operations.
Benefit: Balanced Proteins use familiar formats and require little to no additional kitchen infrastructure or training.
-
Category Expansion
Why: Retailers benefit from growing categories that encourage basket-building.
Benefit: A new Balanced Protein category creates opportunities for new SKUs and cross-promotions with sauces, buns, and sides.
Growing Consumer Demand
Why: Consumers are increasingly seeking healthier, sustainable options that don’t sacrifice taste.
Benefit: Balanced Proteins offer a new product category that aligns with this demand, driving store traffic.
Price Accessibility
Why: Budget-conscious shoppers are looking for affordable yet premium-feeling protein options.
Benefit: Balanced Proteins offer competitive pricing compared to premium meats while appealing to health and sustainability-conscious consumers.
Sustainability Alignment
Why: Retailers are under pressure to meet corporate sustainability targets and cater to eco-conscious consumers.
Benefit: Balanced Proteins provide a measurable way to reduce the environmental impact of their supply chain.
-
Cost Savings
Why: Rising meat prices impact profit margins for high-volume food service operators.
Benefit: Balanced Proteins reduce input costs while maintaining flavor, allowing any operator aligned with our mission to balance margins and affordability.
Winning Incremental Visits
Why: Gen Z and Millennials are more likely to consider sustainability and health when making food choices. Parents want healthier options for their kids.
Benefit: Balanced products appeal to these demographics without compromising the indulgence factor — increasing the likelihood or frequency of visits.
Ease of Implementation
Why: Food service operators require scalable and operationally simple solutions.
Benefit: Balanced Proteins fit existing kitchen processes and supply chains, requiring no additional infrastructure.
